Bick's
"Picnic"
Completed April 1, 2007

This is the third of three spots produced by Hatch Studios Ltd. for Ogilvy & Mather. It features an alien documentarian exposing the cruel ways in which humans treat pickles. The spots are quite humourous in the sense that they are so absurd in nature.

  • A man in glasses and a white striped shirt eats a pickle outdoors. His expression suggests thoughtfulness, with green foliage in the blurred background.
  • A small green alien stands on a tree branch, looking surprised. Below, a picnic table with a checkered cloth sits on a lawn, suggesting a playful tone.

The alien was modeled and textured using ZBrush, rigged and animated in 3dsmax 8.0, and rendered with VRay 1.47.03. It was composited with After Effects.
