This was a small web banner created at Hatch Studios Ltd. for Shaw Communications Inc.

The premise was to create an animated hand that would react to a user’s various key presses. The format would be a large Flash banner for web delivery.

  • A 3D-rendered hand floats against a blue background, holding a coin between fingers. Below, tiny shoes stand alone, creating a whimsical and surreal feeling.
  • A hand resembling a running figure wears sneakers on its fingers against a blue background, with yellow motion lines emphasizing speed and excitement.

Unfortunately, the final had to be authored at 15fps due to streaming limitations which therefore impacts the fluidity of the animation.

Created with 3dsmax 2009, rendered with VRay 1.5 SP3 and composited with Combustion 2009.
