This was a small web banner created at Hatch Studios Ltd. for Shaw Communications Inc.

The premise was to create an animated hand that would react to a user’s various key presses. The format would be a large Flash banner for web delivery.

  • A hand against a blue background forms a dog shape with its shadow. There's a tiny sneaker on the ring finger, adding a playful touch.
  • A cartoon-like human hand wearing sneakers is positioned in a walking stance, facing a retro boombox. The background is a solid bright blue, conveying a playful tone.

Unfortunately, the final had to be authored at 15fps due to streaming limitations which therefore impacts the fluidity of the animation.

Created with 3dsmax 2009, rendered with VRay 1.5 SP3 and composited with Combustion 2009.
