Firestone
"Signs"
Completed September 14, 1998

Firestone was a very graphic spot featuring an arrow darting about and narrowly swerving out of the way so as not to hit obstacles, thus promoting the traction on the tires. It was all done in 3D with the exception of the deer which was traditionally animated, mapped onto geometry for tracking purposes, and then rendered out.

  • Silhouette of a person running with a soccer ball on a vibrant yellow background. The scene conveys motion and energy.
  • A black silhouette of a truck appears on a bright yellow background, positioned on a curving upward arrow, symbolizing progress or a journey.

It was modeled and animated using Softimage, rendered with Mental Ray and I believe it was composited with After Effects.
