Hatch Studios developed a 3D animated promo for Clearco featuring a dynamically-driven LED board. A 3D model of an LED board was created using an advanced particle system. The pixel color values of each 3D LED were read from their corresponding position in the video file and transformed into 3D model lights. The result is a 3D LED board that is adaptive and can be driven by any video file. If you look closely, you can see each LED emits light and illuminates its surrounding electronics.

This project was modeled with 3ds Max, animated using Particle Flow and custom expressions, rendered with VRay and composited with After Effects.
