Hatch Studios was approached to develop an animated video explaining CHAR Technology’s High Temperature Pyrolysis proprietary HTP process. HTP heats materials to high temperatures without using oxygen so that the material can’t burn, converting them instead into higher value outputs. HTP converts woody-biomass and organic waste streams into renewable and valuable outputs. CAD models of the plant were provided and shots were created based on the approved script so as to design an easy to understand, 3D animated explainer video.

This project was animated in 3ds Max, rendered with Redshift, and composited with After Effects.
